All roads lead to Soccer City, to mark the start of the 2010/11 Premier Soccer League (PSL) season with the much anticipated 2010 version of the Telkom Charity Cup.

The voting lines buzzing for weeks as fans called and sms'd to see their favourite teams in action at the one-day event set for Saturday.

In the end however; Mamelodi Sundowns, AmaZulu, Kaizer Chiefs and Orlando Pirates were unveiled as the four teams that will take to the field at the Calabash.

Sundowns topped the voting poll with 191,384 votes, followed by AmaZulu who had to settle for second place on 124,372 votes, Pirates were humbled with third place 113,989 votes, while Chiefs snuck in at fourth with 113,086 votes collected.

Telkom Charity Cup sold out

Tickets for the much anticipated 2010 Telkom Charity Cup set to take place at the spectacular Soccer City on Saturday are sold out.

This is the word coming from the Premier Soccer League (PSL) is that only hospitality tickets are available.

The build up to this year’s event could not have been more exciting as KwaZulu Natal’s AmaZulu were involved in a tussle with Mamelodi Sundowns for the top spot on the voting polls.

Thanks to the fans who called and/or sms’d through to see their teams in action, charity will benefit.

As off voting deadline on Sunday, AmaZulu finished highest on the polls, followed by Sundowns ahead of Kaizer Chiefs who were third and Orlando Pirates taking the fourth spot.
