Benni back in contention for West ham

West Ham United manager Gianfranco Zola is banking on Bafana Bafana striker Benni McCarthy playing a key role for the side in the final nine matches as they push away from the relegation zone.

The great news is that McCarthy is back in contention after an injury layoff shortly after his January switch from Blackburn Rovers when he suffered a knee injury in the first half of his debut at Burnley in February.

He finally returned to the first-team fold at the weekend for the trip to Chelsea but was not used off the bench, but according to whufc.com, Zola hopes another week of rehabilitation will put him in good stead for Saturday's trip to Arsenal.

Ballack says Arsenal is predictable

German international and Chelsea midfielder Michael Ballack did not mince his words in his response to Arsene Wenger's remarks after the Blues beat Arsenal 2-0 in an English Premiership clash on Sunday.

The Arsenal coach said that fans "did not get a demonstration of football" and claimed that Chelsea had "a lot of tricks" and used their experience to commit a sequence of subtle fouls.

In true honest German fashion, Ballack said that Arsenal are easy to beat because they are predictable and he believes his team and the other title challengers Manchester United will always have an upper hand over the Gunners.

Arsenal fans vote Bergkamp's goal as the best

Arsenal fans have voted Dennis Bergkamp's classic strike at Newcastle as the Club's best goal of the decade, the Dutchman received 34 percent of the votes on Arsenal.com.

Bergkamp is currently the coach of the Ajax youth team D2. Although he didn't pposses much pace, he more than made up for his lack thereof with some classic moments while at Arsenal.

"It is one of the best goals I have made for Arsenal," Bergkamp told ajax.nl from his holiday address. "My best goal was the third one against Leicester, long ago.

"I made my best goal ever when I played with our national team on the World Cup in 1998 against Argentina. That goal was almost the same as the one against Leicester."
