BAFANA BAFANA: Jali hoping to improve

Orlando Pirates midfielder Andile Jali says that he is finding the going tough in Germany where he in camp with Bafana Bafana.

The former SA under-20 player also took part in the national team’s camp in Brazil last month, his inclusion in this is an indication that national coach Carlos Alberto Parreira’s could announce him in the final FIFA World Cup squad.

“In Brazil we worked very hard but our performance was a bit low because it was our first real camp,” said Jali. “Here in Germany we have put in even more work and this has increased our performance tremendously.

In what was a congested season, Absa Sports Sponsorship Manager Steward Masela was full of praise to all the stakeholders who played ball for the national course.

Orlando Pirates midfield workhorse Andile Jali is very excited after realising his dream, after getting his first call up to the South African senior national team.

Jali another player promoted to the Bafana Bafana from the exciting Under-20 team that took part at the FIFA U20 World Cup says he received the news, while training with his club.

"I could not believe it," exclaimed the slick youngster. "I was obliviously excited and I want to use this opportunity to fight very hard for a place in the final squad for the 2010 FIFA World Cup."

"But it all starts with convincing the coaches that they were not mistaken with this call up. I want to first do well in this camp, so that they can consider me for the Brazil and Germany camps.
